I set this section up primarily for the writers. It's a collection of interviews with die-hard Spike / Buffy readers - why they like the pairing, where they see it going, both on screen and off, and what suggestions they have for stories they'd like to see. Any writers having a look would be well-advised to take careful note of what the public wants! ;-)

For those who only read Buffy / Spike fanfic - this is your chance to get heard! Maybe you want a parody of a B/S relationship - with a twist of W/A - written, or perhaps you just want a scene-filler for "Something Blue". Whatever fits your fancy - here is the chance to tell the writers what *you* want to read.

The interviews will be updated on a pretty random basis - i.e. when I have the time, and when I find someone else to interview! However, I will try to aim at an update each month. Stay tuned.

If you'd like to be interviewed for this section, please email me and say so. I don't bite - honest!

The interviews for 26th March are with:

ROSE FOREMAN

Q: When did you first start watching "Buffy"?

A: I started watching Buffy in the summer of 1998. They were playing the reruns of season two. My father actually got me started watching it. I was home visiting and he was watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer. I remembered the movie and poked fun at him for watching such a silly show. So he said, why don't you watch it then! So I sat down and watched it. The episode was "What's My Line part 1", I believe. I fell instantly for Angel. But then when I saw Spike, I was quasi interested. I thought his "Well, the lions are on to you baby" was silly. It wasn't until I started to talk to a friend of mine who was a major Spike Fan that I started to see him in a new light.

Q: When did you first become interested in the Spike / Buffy pairing?

A: That didn't come for quite a while. I found the B/S pairing first through fanfic and my aforementioned friend. At first, I was completely against it because Buffy was meant for Angel, but there is only so much angst and star-crossed love effect until you want some action. So then I started to think of Spike, bold, brash, funny and how he had facial expressions. So, I started to think why not? I mean Spike would be there and wouldn't allow her to be unhappy. So when Lover's Walk came on in Season 3, I was praying that Joss would have them together.

Q: Do you follow other 'ships as well? If yes, how long for?

A: While I am a die hard Spike and Buffy 'shipper, I do like to read Spike and Angel(us) 'ships and Spike/Willow. I can't really stand Spike and Dru together.

Q: Do you write fanfiction yourself?

A: Unfortunately, no.

Q: What kind of S/B stories do you enjoy the most? e.g. comedy, angst, pure smut/romance ;-), etc.

A: I like them all really, it just depends on the mood I'm in. But if I did have to pick a favorite it would have to be the romantic/smut kind. Those are my comfort fics.

Q What would you like to see written? Any challenges or general directions you'd like to see in fics?

A: I like authors to have their own ideas in fics. I do send out a challenge on rare occasions and I like to read some challenge fics just to see how each author incorporated the challenge but otherwise, I just like to see Spike/Buffy together and some action in it. Fics that are musings are okay but I do prefer a full plot in the story, or at least some kind of climatic action with resolution.

Thank you very much!
