Okay, so it's not just theories on fanfic. It's theories on *everything*. It's rants on anything I can think of, and rough guides to crossing the road. This is the 'Misc' section of the site. Anything that doesn't fit in anywhere else goes in here. Don't be surprised by anything. ;-)

P.S. Yes, I know that the site is in monochrome and this particular section isn't. Well...... call it the start of an ongoing overhaul in terms of lookc. ;-)

WRITE WHAT YOU KNOW

These are my real theories on fanfic. Well, theories in that they're related to fanfic in some way. They're not necessarily theories, or even possibly coherent. You'll see what I mean. Basically, the backbone behind them is that I believe we should write what we know, and bluff about what we don't. Most especially if we don't know anything.

- "Conversations in Limbo" - Ever noticed that the setting in Spike/Buffy fanfics isn't what it could be? Use this handy dandy guide to help you construct a believable setting.
- "Life and Other Annoyances" - My rants page on things that annoy me in fandom. I've written several rants, and have several more being written up as we speak. What can I say? I'm fussy.
- "Mailing List Mayhem" - really archived on the "Support" page, but not in a prominent place, so it's here as well. ;-) This is a guide to how *not* to make a fool of yourself on mailing lists, be it when posting fic or your opinions. Used with kind permission.

SHODDY WORKSMANSHIP

The 'net, as all other things in life, isn't free from this. This is collection of rants, mostly. Perhaps I will discuss how I put this website together later on. . . . . perhaps not. I'll probably talk about how I put the title graphics together instead. ;-)

- "Trying To Be Clever" - And why it rarely works. There are good sites out there. There are some *amazing* sites out there. But, like everything else, 99% of all things on the net are pure cack. Here are some of the worst mistakes and the things that *really* get on my nerves.
